The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is expected to announce the Maharashtra HSC Class 12th Result 2023 soon. Once the results are declared, students will be able to download their scorecards from the official website, mahresult.nic.in.
In the previous year, the overall pass percentage for the Maharashtra HSC Class 12th exams was 94.22 percent, as announced by Sharad Gosavi, Chairman of MSBSHSE. This was a decrease compared to the overall pass percentage of 99.63 percent in 2021. Out of a total of 1,449,664 registered students, 1,439,731 appeared for the exams, and 1,356,604 students successfully passed.
Among the districts, the Konkan division secured the highest pass percentage of 97.21 percent, followed by Nagpur with 96.52 percent, Amravati with 96.34 percent, Latur with 95.25 percent, Kohlapur with 95.07 percent, and Nasik with 95.03 percent.
The pass percentages for different streams were as follows: The Science stream achieved a pass percentage of 98.3 percent, Commerce recorded 91.71 percent, Arts had 90.51 percent, and HSC Vocational achieved 92.40 percent.
Due to the pandemic, the HSC examinations were cancelled in the previous year, and the results were announced using alternative assessment methods. The pass percentages for different streams in that year were: Science – 99.45 percent, Arts – 99.83 percent, Commerce – 99.91 percent, and HSC Vocational – 98.80 percent.
In 2020, out of 14.20 lakh regular candidates, 90.66 percent successfully cleared the exam, which showed improvement from the 85.88 percent pass percentage in 2019 and the 88.41 percent pass percentage in 2018.
